This Embrite™ marker stake has been upgraded, and is now 3D printed using PETG material for durability and increased heat resistance over the previous PLA version. It is designed to accept any color of our . Each Embrite™ rod is 7-1/2" long, and these stakes accept a 2-1/2" length. Therefore each rod will yield 3 equal pieces that can fit into these stakes with zero waste. The three large viewing windows provide ample glow visibility, and the 3mm (1/8") wide stake ribs are strong enough to hold up to numerous ground insertions.
Our Embrite™ glow rods can easily be cut using a hacksaw or similar cutting tool in order to cut them to the correct length. The fit between the glow rod diameter and the stake bore can vary between a slight "snug" fit to a clearance fit, due to tolerances between the rod diameter and the 3D printed part. If you wish to ensure the glow rod will not accidentally fall out, you can simply use a drop of glue or epoxy to retain it in the stake.
These markers are great for identifying paths in dark environments, marking tent locations at night, or just about anything you want to highlight when there is no ambient lighting available. Exposing them to sunlight during the day, they can provide hours of nighttime glow. We do recommend using the green Embrite™ color, as that provides the brightest and longest lasting glow. Please refer to our for more details about glow performance.
The stakes are printed with parameter settings that should provide adequate strength when inserting them into the ground, but we advise not to use excessive force (i.e. high hammer force) when installing them into hard ground.
